What am I looking at?
A list of the most recent visitors to your site. Each visitor is tracked
by a unique cookie, created by timestamp at the millisecond when activity
is first measured.
A first time visitor becomes a returning visitor with a
subsequent visit after a 24 hour period. Returning visitors will
then be tracked indefinitely as the same unique user. Selected website: select the site that you want to study.
Display: title: shows page titles (as named by webmaster). Display: url: shows server addresses pointing to pages (technical address). Display: title & url: shows both pieces of info. Results: show 20/40: number of visitors displayed in report. Results: expand/collapse: set report to show each visitor on a single line, or expand each visitor to include their most recent visit/ 20 pageviews. Search ip: find visits from a specific ip address or range. For a partial search, enter numbers from left to right. If you expand the results, collapse to exit the search.
Glossary Last event: last recorded click or event on site.
Duration (of visit): time difference between
first recorded event (click) and last recorded event (click).
s.e. = single event: visitor clicked on a single page of your
site, no second click or exit event recorded.
Visits: A visit begins when a visitors enters your site. The
end of a visit is signalled by an exit click or a 10 minute period of
inactivity. The next event (click) will be a new visit. Current page (exit page): The most recently visited page,
or the last page viewed if visitor is no longer online.
